Nortec music is characterized by hard dance beats and samples from traditional forms of Mexican music such as Banda sinaloense and Norteo - unmistakably Mexican horns are often used.
This sound would turn out to be Nortec, a style he created and later shared with a group of like minded musicians that would eventually turn into the Nortec Collective.
